Prai$e The Lord

Book by Dani Pujalte

38€

Praise the Lord is a book by photographer Dani Pujalte where he explores the process of continuous reproduction that has transformed the only portrait of Amadou Bamba (founder of the Mouride sect of Islam) into an icon. From the prosaic to the sublime, this is Dani’e theme in this project. Initially, his photographic research traces the journey of Bamba's image across the everyday surfaces of Senegal, expanding to document a broader theme: the ongoing dialogue between trade and faith, material culture, and Sufi mysticism.
